Acceptable Use Policy

Rules that protect subscribers, households and the VibeTel network.

1. Lawful household use

The subscriber must use the service lawfully and take reasonable steps to secure household devices and Wi-Fi credentials.

2. Prohibited conduct

  • Internet resale, commercial redistribution or paid/public hotspots.
  • Extending the service to another property or unrelated household.
  • Unauthorised access, attacks, malware distribution, phishing, fraud or spam.
  • Copyright infringement or unlawful content distribution.
  • Interfering with network equipment, authentication, usage accounting or security controls.
  • Operating public or commercial servers in a way that materially affects a residential network.

3. Investigation and action

VibeTel may investigate credible complaints or abnormal network behaviour and may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate service where reasonably necessary. Urgent action may be taken to protect users, infrastructure or legal compliance.

4. Report a concern

Log the concern through the VibeTel support portal or email helpdesk@vibetel.co.za and include the account details and concern.
