Fair Usage Policy

Full-speed thresholds and staged managed speeds for VibeTel residential services.

Version 1.0Published: 29 July 2026

1. Purpose and scope

This policy applies to VibeTel residential fibre and fixed-wireless services. It protects shared network capacity while allowing every subscriber to remain connected. The services are uncapped, but they are not unlimited at full package speed.

3. How usage is measured

  • Downloads and uploads are combined.
  • Usage is measured per calendar month and resets on the first day of the next calendar month.
  • Unused full-speed usage does not roll over.
  • Where technically available, VibeTel may issue usage notices. The absence of a notice does not prevent the policy from applying.

4. What happens after the threshold

The service is not disconnected solely because the threshold is reached. The applicable managed speed is applied until the next monthly reset. Actual performance remains best effort and depends on the access network, Wi-Fi conditions, congestion, power availability and third-party infrastructure.

5. Residential use only

Each service is for one private household at the registered residential address. Normal work from home and normal home CCTV or smart-device use are permitted. The service may not be resold, used as a paid or public hotspot, extended to another property, or used for a business, guesthouse, student residence, multiple rental rooms or commercial redistribution without a separate written service agreement.

6. Devices

VibeTel does not impose a fixed number of household devices. Device guidance is based on devices actively streaming, downloading, gaming or video-calling at the same time. One heavy downloading device may use more capacity than many idle devices.

7. Network abuse

VibeTel may investigate and take reasonable action where activity threatens network integrity, materially degrades service for other subscribers, circumvents controls, enables unlawful activity, or indicates unauthorised resale or redistribution. Except for urgent security or unlawful-use cases, the subscriber will ordinarily be given an opportunity to explain or correct the issue.

8. Existing subscribers and changes

New subscribers accept the policy with their service order. Existing subscribers will be notified of the date on which a new or materially changed policy applies to them. Material changes will be communicated through the subscriber’s recorded contact channel.
